You know what my idea of living the good life is? Being able to find peace and quiet whenever I want it. So many people nowadays stay so busy, they almost don't even realize how crazy and hectic their lives have gotten. Well, I'm here to tell you what the good life really is in just two words: chaise lounge.
The very name itself brings up images of relaxing on the deck of an ocean liner on the way to some incredibly lush tropical location. It sounds so French and exotic. I mean, now, tell me who couldn't relax on something like that. Technically, "chaise lounge" means "long chair." The chaise lounge I'm talking about is not any of that plastic stuff you see by the pool at the YMCA or in your grandma's back yard. I'm talking about high- end beautifully crafted solid teak.
A teak chaise lounge on my back deck is my perfect quick little get-away. I like to go out there- in all kinds of weather- and close my eyes and pretend to be sitting under palm trees on the shores of a private beach in Fiji.
